The South Australian Fire and Emergency Services Commision (SAFECOM) on behalf of the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) seeks to engage a sole supplier for the supply and maintenance of Thermal Imaging Cameras for structural firefighting.

The structural TIC is not required to be certified to NFPA 1801:2018 - Standards on Thermal Imagers for the Fire Service, however should conform to selected elements of NFPA 1801:2018. These elements include:

• Product labelling and information;
• Design requirements; and
• Performance requirements.

• Intrinsic safety certification.

SAFECOM proposes a potential ten (10) year contract term, consisting of:

• Initial Term: Five (5) years
• Extension Option 1: Three (3) years
• Extension Option 2: Two (2) years

It is anticipated the Agreement will commence in August 2021.
